Cold and Windy on January 1st

Rainy days and Sundays always make me blue…and sometimes homicidal.

Yesterday I wished for a breeze because it was too hot.  Be careful what you wish for.  We understand now why they call this place Tropic Winds RV Resort – it’s the winds.

Left Brain stood outside in the cold for a long period of time holding the cabana against the onslaught of wind.  Then he spent another long period of time outside devising ways to anchor it down and secure it.

We were so happy to be on a concrete pad, it’s much cleaner than on dirt.  However!  It makes it very difficult to secure any kind of tent structure.  Another lesson learned.  Dirt is not necessarily our enemy.

I did my part in helping by dressing in warmer clothes, closing the door and sitting down to the computer to blog about his experience.  He’s at his best when he’s scheming and working on projects like this.

The good news is that we have not yet set up the secondary tent.  That might wait for a bit.

The frustrating part is that we are not yet officially here and can’t check in until Monday to figure out how to connect to the internet, what the rules are, yada yada.

Long Live the Queen
