They grow up so fast

We are leaving this morning to celebrate our oldest granddaughter's tenth birthday.  How did THAT happen?  It seems like just yesterday that I was coaching my daughter through the birth and lying repeatedly by telling her "that's the worst it will be, you're almost there".  It's amazing how someone out of their mind in childbirth will keep believing you...hour after hour.  She's so trusting and sweet.
The granddaughters have enough of their father in them to cause some trouble...I'm so proud.
We got the report on April 1st that the older of the two diabolical children put salt in the sugar bowl.  The younger one was being very smug with having gotten away with sneaking a second spoonful of "sugar" on her cereal.  At the first taste she spit it out and dissolved into tears.  I'm sure there was revenge taken sometime during the day and we'll hear of all the adventures when we arrive.  I'm just glad we're not going up on the First!
Long Live the Queen of Beautiful Granddaughters

  1. I agree, time goes by so fast and the little ones grow up so quickly. Enjoy the birthday celebration with your grandchildren. You are blessed. Hugs, Edna B.
