All I have to do is mention the word "tent" and they both start meowing and George's tail will shiver. They now spend the entire morning out there and come in only for lunch and use of the litter box and then they want to get back out there.
It's been rainy lately and things were a bit damp but that doesn't seem to bother them at all.
I put the little furry house out there in case it was too cold and Gracie loves to dive on top of George when he's in it and smash it down on him. She certainly has an evil streak.
It was a little furry house and now it is a couch |
I thought the supports on their little chairs would just be in the way but they enjoy laying on their back and using them to pull themselves forward and wiggle around.
At first they would just sit around out there and watch the world go by and would sometimes be nervous about loud noises and cars going by.
Now they will fall completely asleep outside and will romp and play fight even though there's not a lot of space to run. That's where the new toy comes in.
I found out that there is a tunnel that can be zipped onto the tent to provide a little running space. Gracie loves her popup tunnel inside the house so I figured she'd enjoy this additional feature.
This will involve changing things around to make room for it, but that's part of the fun.
Long Live the Queen of the Tunnel of Love
That is so cool. George went from being terrified of the great outdoors to begging to go out? It looks like a perfect solution. Just think, a few short months ago George and Gracie didn't have a family and now they are firmly ensconced in yours.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad they have the safety of the tent. Happy campers.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. A pop up tunnel? Now I'll have to go looking for it to see what it is all about. If it's fun, then my Pogo will probably one to go with his tent. George and Gracie look so comfortable and safe. That says a lot about you. I'm so glad that I got to meet you. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of hamsters! They loved their tunnels!
