What's for Supper Wednesday - Shrimp Scampi

I've always loved shrimp scampi...with that much butter how can it to wrong.

Thanks to my Facebook friends I recently found a new way to prepare the shrimp and just had to try it.  It's easy and quick to do and all in one pan which was super nice.

In addition to the shrimp I sauteed some zucchini, onions and peppers to toss in with them and then served it over angel hair pasta.

This made for a wonderful meal, the only thing missing was some garlic bread on the side.  Perhaps I'll pick up some for the leftovers later.

Here's the Facebook recipe:

Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh shrimp, and then sprinkle one pack of dried Italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min. Best Shrimp you will EVER taste :)

This is how mine looked with the veggies and angel hair pasta
My friend, Lorraine, does it somewhat the same but instead of the seasoning packet she adds freshly chopped garlic and a squirt of lemon.  Hers is also very good...it's all about the butter.

Long Live the Queen of Shrimp
