Cleaning Day in the Canned Ham

This is one of the Green Jays found in this area.
While Left Brain was out golfing with his buddies I was slaving away in a hot and sticky canned ham.  I swept and washed the floors, stripped all the bedding, did the laundry and the dishes, balanced the checkbook, cleaned the toilet and restocked toilet paper, hand soap and dish soap in their containers and started a new budget for the full time life.

While at the laundry I met a lady who had just joined Escapees - a group for RV people...one we had belonged to many years ago and decided to rejoin.  She dropped off some info for me as to the local chapter in the Rio Grande Valley if we want to meet up with some of them.  This is a beginning to the new life as they would be who handles our mail for us when the house is gone.

After laundry was done I removed all the patio furniture to sweep it down and wash off the tops of everything from the ubiquitous dust that is everywhere.

Left Brain got back about 1:30 just as the last dish was wiped and put away.  He stayed back at the canned ham to shower and rest and fixed a sandwich and I treated myself to Chinese at Panda Express before hitting Walmart for more supplies.

It's much easier cleaning a tiny space than a large home.  I could have never cleaned the entire house in less than four hours before.  I do believe I'm going to like this new life.

  1. Gosh, what a pretty jay! One question, just how do you manage your mail when you live on the road? What do you use for an address, and how does the mail get to you? What do you do about your bills? I am so curious and full of questions. I'm at work and have to get breakfast now for the Mrs. You have a fantastic day, hugs, Edna B.
