There's not much you can add to a motor home, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to have a new table!
Well, it's not really a table, but it functions as a table. I'll explain it with some photos.
The steering wheel is just there...you can't move it to get it out of the way and let's face it, it just doesn't look like it should be in a living room. I mean, would you add a steering wheel to your décor...I think not.
So I was introduced to this wonder of wonder by a friend of mine from Ham Lake....thank you Kathy for the show and tell in your RV. It doesn't look like much until you attach it.
It fastens to the steering wheel and creates a round, level platform. Just perfect for a lamp, some flowers, or anything else a wild cat could destroy.
Once it has a table cover it blends in much more nicely and one can almost forget one lives in a vehicle....almost.
The other upside is that it hides the "stuff" that tends to be tucked out of the way such as fans, heaters, groceries, or in our case...a cat.
Oh...and you gotta love the warning at the bottom of the instructions that clearly states "do not drive while table is attached to the steering wheel"...well, duh!
Long Live the Queen of the Steering Committee
I love it. And what does Left Brain think? I know how men just love to "pretty-up the place." Gracie is so darned cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! It is actually pretty practical. I can certainly see how it would attract a cat, or two!
ReplyDeleteOMG ... what will they think of next! In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined such a thing and if I had, it would never have turned out looking as good as you made it look (even from the underside as Gracie will attest). I really think if I could imagine shrinking down my lifestyle to fit in a canned ham, I would do it the way you do. You make it look absolutly tempting :) The sad part is, by the time I got rid of all of the years and years of accumulated stuff I have, I would be ready for another kind of container ... if you get my gist. But I have to hand it to you,Queen of Ingenuity, you know how to live the good life ...

My goodness, what a creative way to make use of space. I would never have thought of something like that. It looks really nice with the table cloth on it. Hmmm, what will they think of next? You have a great evening, hugs, Edna B.
