Bird Haven

We are blessed with an abundance of birds here in our campground.

Purple finch

They have found the feeders and are happy birds.

I am not good at identifying all of them and am having trouble with this little brown guy.  Any suggestions?

And I'm happy to have them as it's fun to photograph them.

Thank goodness we are here for a while as there is a robin nesting behind the grill.  They should be out of the nest before we leave.  Otherwise we'll have to extend our stay to keep the family healthy.

  1. Your photos are great! Clear and sharp. As for the little brown bird, he is a Sparrow. I have some that come up to my window to chirp at me whenever the feeder is empty. There doesn't seem to be as many of them this year as there were last year. I hope they all come back. I'm at work now, and Mrs is in a good mood. You have a great night, hugs, Edna B.

  2. It is a House Sparrow to be exact. There are many different kinds of sparrow and the all have the brown coloring, but they are each different in some way, even if only in the song that they sing. The House Sparrows are fiesty little characters and very prolific ... you will be see many of them around before you leave:) Be well, Queen of Bird Feeders ...
