Lunch at BB Kings

I've always loved the music of BB King, so we just had to go there for lunch.

I knew I was going to like this place the minute I saw the green door....I have a thing for old doors, don't ask me why.

Since we are daylight dwellers we didn't get to see any live music, but they had some great blues music playing in the background.

The bar was sweet with an old fashioned flair that fit in with the brick walls and funky decor.

Left Brain had the baby back ribs and I had the gumbo yaya...it was delicious!  I had to return the bowl quickly when done to avoid Left Brain the embarrassment of watching me lick it clean.

BB's guitar, Lucille, hangs on the back wall.  Oh, the sounds he's made with her.

It was a fun experience to be in this restaurant and we listened to the waitress telling another table about Taylor Swifts apartment and how nice she is.  Hmmm.  We may have to try to find this for the grandkids.

  2. I would LOVE to go there! I am a lifelong BB King fan. He actually has had several black guitars named "Lucille"; his love. That is exciting that you were able to see one close up. (As a guitarist, Bill would really love that!) The only thing missing was BB himself!
