No, this isn't some sad story about a Green Bay Packer fan having a sudden demise outside of Lambeau Field. It's much more serious than that.
Left Brain loves his TV and spends hours reclining in his chair and flipping through the channels.
We learned a valuable lesson during the downpour we had in Alabama. Water and Tailgaters don't do well together. The poor little thing was looking like an oversized bobber in a small lake by the time the storm passed over.
He tried letting it dry out a couple of days, but it just never seemed to regain the will to live. After making a call to Dish to see what we could do, we were advised to take it into a local Camping World to see if it could be repaired.
So today we drove around the Nashville area and he gave me a brief tour of the Grand Ole Opry and the huge hotel next to it. We stopped at TGIF for lunch and browsed through the mall area. I needed to swap something I picked up at Bed, Bath and Beyond, so I was able to take care of that matter while here.
Then we went to Camping World and found out how much it would cost just to look at it and the grim prospects of it being repairable due to the water damage.
We left with a brand spanking new Tailgater and an extended service plan for three years. I also found the Moon Road Trip book I was looking for with fun things to seek out in the USA.
Left Brain washed the car on the way home and then I gutted it out to vacuum and wash off the seats and such. That last move was horribly sandy and messy.
So things are spiffed up and business taken care of and we still had time to sit in the 80 degree sunshine and watch the kitties play.
Tomorrow we will venture out to see what joys Nashville has to present.
