Turning See-More to the north

Our stay here has been lovely, but it's time to turn the wheel and start up the engines.  It's cold here today, about 45 so the furnace is kicked in to take off the chill.  I'm really glad on days like this that my jobs involve the "inside" take down.  I stored all the tables, chairs, tent and tunnels last night in the car.  We're not sure where we're going, just north along hwy 65 towards Nashville.  I'm sure there will be a stop or maybe even two along the route where we will call it home for a night.

I'm getting really antsy to get our remodel project underway, but that's not until northern Indiana and it's too cold to go that far yet.

The couch will be leaving us, as well as the dinette and bench.  This will be replaced by some cabinets with a pull out table and two recliners.  Oh the space it will create!  I find myself sitting on the couch with my feet up on a storage cube, head tilted 45 degrees to the left and counting down the days when I can sit, lean back with my feet up and watch TV straight ahead.

I can watch TV straight ahead now, but it's by sitting at the table and viewing it through the mirror, so everything's backwards.  Not a big problem unless you're trying to solve a word puzzle on Wheel of Fortune or something like that.

  1. I think your name this week should be the Queen of Remodeling. Unfortunately, you're right it's too early to head back North.

  2. Take your time, my friend ... it is going to be a high of 40 all week up here after today. You won't want to be remodeling in those temperatures. Are you going to Elkhart for your remodling? My husband has a cousin who used to live there (he has since retired to a lake in Michigan) and we used to go over there often. It is not exactly a beautiful place, but they are known for their Custom RV's. I'm guessing you are looking forward to your summer home and family. Won't be long, I have crocuses breaking ground ... Woo Hoo. You have a safe trip, Queen of Inverse TV watching ...Can you really solve the Wheel of Fortune Word Puzzle backwards?

  4. I agree, it is still too cold to go too far North. Nashville is lovely though. I've been there a couple of times and I loved it. Of course, I'm partial to country music! I can't wait to see the photos of your remodeling job. You have a fabulous day, hugs, Edna B.

  5. It is amazing what RVs are like now. Enjoy TN. Nashville isn't great, but TN is!

  6. Pls take some before and after photos of the remodel. I'm sure the redesign will make a big difference. Safe travels and watch out for the winds.....Nasty here right now. We've had to delay our Phx departure due to high winds in Northern AZ and Southern UT plus Flagstaff rain/snow. I'll suffer through perfect temps, sunny skies, and amazing sunsets just a little longer.
