Photoshop Friday - images from the pond

I shot this waterlily bud while visiting my friend Lois.
This is the original image.

Then I had to mess with it and apply my favorite filters.  Since this is a water plant, I tried the watercolor filter first.

Then I wanted to see what the dry brush filter would do.

And of course there's my all time favorite of poster edges.

And finally, just because of the wet theme I checked out the sponge filter.

Which one is YOUR favorite?

  1. I like the watercolour filter, but I do like your final result. I have no artistic talent whatsoever, unless you want to count my writing...which I love to do.

  2. The poster edges is certainly depth quality and surface enhancing....I do like the dry brush, also, it looks like a painting ready for my wall. The waterlilies are open now, six today...wish you were here. Planting lots of sedum between rocks, from West Salem Nursery you taught me about. The man, and others there remember you fondly! pond-auntie- lois

  3. It's hard to pick one favorite, but maybe the poster edges version would be my pick. Isn't it fun playing with the different filters and blending modes? I thought your choice of vacuum was interesting. Isn't the big handle awkward? I think that would present a problem for me. Much as I love the heavy duty vacuum, I've reached that point where small and light is better for me. You have a great night, hugs, Edna B.
