Left Brain and I were at the mall the other day doing a little shopping and true to form, he wandered off again.  I swear that man can disappear faster than a teenager when it's time to clean their room.

At first I was upset and and then I started to get worried.  Perhaps he had went home, forgetting I was with him.  I mean, our minds are starting to go.

But, he always has his phone on him so I called him to find out his whereabouts.  In a very calm voice he said "Honey, you remember that jewelry store we passed by before, the one with the exquisite diamond necklace that I said we couldn't afford to buy?"

OMG!  He's buying me a surprise Channukah/Christmas gift!  I was so thrilled.  I choked up a bit and tried not to cry as I said "yes, I remember."

And then he tells me "Well, I'm in the bar right next to it."

Yup....that's my Left Brain.

  1. lol. Yup! You got the right man for you! You both share that fabulous sense of humor. I just love that kitty photo. The look on kitty's face is priceless. I'm off to dreamland now. You have a wonderful night. Hugs, Edna B.

  2. Oh, I think we must have married the same man (except mine is Right Brained). That is exactly what he does to me. He will come home and say "Honey, I have a surprise for you!" So, of course the adrenoline courses through the blood stream and I prepare my "Oh Thank you" speech in my head ... and he says, I remembered to pick up the light bulbs for the garage light .... #%**# :( Is life fair ... NO! Do you think I would catch on after 48 years ... NOT! I fall for it every time. It's called wishful thinking (or duh!).

You also got me with the kitty in the Chirstmas tree photo. I have one of those little devil children, who climbs my tree every year. She started out just taking the ornaments off the bottom of the tree so I stopped hanging them low where she could reach them (Picture your Christmas tree with no ornaments on the bottom 15 inches). So now she just climbs up the center and goes out on the branches to reach the ornaments. Haven't figured out my next move ... open to suggestion :)

Loved your stuffed peppers too ... you are right, it helps to cook the peppers before you stuff them. I learned about precooking after I cooked ribs on the grill until they broke apart when you touched them with a fork ... Can't eat undercooked pork, right? Anyway, I now cook them in the oven until they are almost done, then put them on the grill with the BBQ sauce. Works well :)
It is always fun to visit you ... I giggle to myself all day long. Have a great day Queen of the Precooked Peppers ...
