What On Earth is That For?

The former owner did a lot of woodworking and home projects, but some times it was hard to figure out what purpose an item may have.

Like this large heavy duty thing.  Is this a cutting board, chopping up an elk or something really big?

Ah...this was designed to fit over the stove to cover the burners and make a smooth work surface.  Not too shabby.  I only have to slide it to the side when using the burners or the oven.  Nice.

She had explained to me the purpose of another piece that matched the countertop.  He used the left over material from when they did the countertop to create a large cutting board to fit over the sink for food prep.  It's ok, but I like this better.

Now I have another spot for more decorations, like this little truck planted with succulents.

It is so fun to decorate again!
