Goodbye toaster oven...hello Panini press!

The toaster oven just wasn't getting much action, and it takes up a good sized chunk of real estate, so we needed a better plan.

Enter the Breville Panini Duo!

It's much smaller and is easier to store out of sight.

We can make two sandwiches at one time and it cleans up easily.  No sprays, butter or oil is needed due to the non-stick design.

The bottom plate is flat, allowing us to make pancakes, open faced sandwiches, melts, eggs, etc.

The top portion has the grill part that makes the cool marks when it smooshs the bread down to form a panini.

You don't want your bread smooshed?  No problem.  In addition to the floating upper plate, you can lock it into different positions.  This makes it perfect for toast and reheating leftover pizza slices.

Oh Panini!  Where have you been all my life?

  1. This new gadget looks very interesting. And that lunch looks deee-licious! I had a toaster over years ago, but it never got used so I gave it a way. Have fun with your new Panini! You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

  2. I wonder if this works in a big rig? Bill does about 99% of his meals in his truck. He has a small microwave. You are a wealth of ideas and tips. Enjoy that yummy sandwich!
