Happy New Years to All

I've been taking a hiatus while the family is here visiting.  I wish I could say it's so I could put all my focus on them, but it's more due to lack of energy at the end of the day.

But yesterday we sent them off to explore San Diego on their own while we rested and then after an early supper with them on their return, went to bed early to prepare for a visit to the zoo today.

I did experience my first new years kiss about midnight thought.  Since I didn't put any food down before I tumbled into bed, George woke me with his request for food.  This is done by knocking the CPAP off my face and running his mouth across mine.

After feeding him and jumping back into bed (it's horribly cold here right now) I could hear the fireworks going off.  How sweet of him to wake me for the special event.

The family will leave on Saturday and I plan to catch up on posting our adventures on Sunday while Left Brain indulges in a day of football.

Meanwhile - keep calm and carry on.  Must get dressed and ready for departure for a day in the zoo.

Long Live the Queen of Exhaustion

  4. Here's wishing you and your family a Happy New Year and a super day at the zoo. Sorry it's so cold there. Old Man Winter really has his toes dug in around here. Brrrrr!! Today it has warmed up a few degrees but I would like it to be much warmer. Oh well, Spring will be here soon.

You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
