Happy birthday Left Brain!

Yup, I married an old guy for all those senior perks.  I won't say how old he is but let's just say there's an entire Route that crosses the country that has that number in it.

We celebrated by driving into Tucson to tour the Pima Air Museum and have a birthday lunch.  The air museum has every kind of vintage plane, helicopter and what-not that you can imagine.

He opted to take the tour to "the Boneyard" where they store countless numbers of old bombers.  I opted to wait with my book and a coke at the little cafe there.

Then we stopped at a Joanne's fabrics so I could pick up a couple of things.  My fingers have been itching to make something, so I'm trying to ease back into some quilting and needlework...slowly.

He bought himself a snappy little remote control helicopter a couple of days earlier when we went into town to see Argo.  This is a must see movie, very riveting and well done.  It's amazing what the spy world can accomplish and see how it's done.  The facts of this operation had been kept secret for many years.  It made me wonder what is going on out there now...and I decided I didn't want to know.

  1. My my, such a handsome hubby you have! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEFT BRAIN!

We just got a new Joanne's Fabric store, but I haven't had a chance yet to visit it. Maybe after Thanksgiving.

Yes, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have so much to be thankful for, including knowing you. You always brighten my day.

NOw it's time to get ready to go home from work. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.

  2. Happy Birthday Left Brain! Have loved reading the adventures you're undertaking....though I gotta get the map out to see where you are.

Be careful of those remote control helicopters. Hubby (who I think is the same age as yours)also bought one. Thought he would take the granddaughter out to fly it, goes to an oval....big wide open space, not much for it to get tangled up in. However he finds a tree, the helicopter lands on top of the tree so there's hubby like a 6 year old climbing the tree to rescue it.

BTW he hasn't flown it since....lol

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.....we don't celebrate it in Australia.

  3. Happy Birthday Left Brain. Now, being an old poop, I can't remember what the Left Brain is good for or if my other half is left or right sided brainwise. So, if you have a moment and can let me know, it would serve as something new I learned today that I can forget tomorrow. I have a sewing machine that sits in the closet. I used to make all of my kids clothes when they were young, but as they grew older they realized that my taste (according to their friends) was awful ... that ended my sewing career and haven't picked it up again since. Quilting, that is a big undertaking for inside a canned ham, don't you think? Love your blog ... don't know what took me so long to realize it.

  4. Your blog apparently thinks I am a robot because it took me six tries to get it to throw it's arms up in disgust and let me post a comment (Each time I was sure I had it right :(
It would make my life easier if you disposed of that little game ... unless of course you need it to keep crazies like me out ... Just sayin".

    And, almost forgotten ...
    Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
