Rubbish Tuesday

This photo was taken at the Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins and I applied a photo filter to enhance the lichen growing on it.  Just one of many old pieces of machinery I don't understand but can admire.  Hey, why not!  I don't understand my husband either, but I admire him.

  1. I think you could understand it enough to know that you should never put your hand anywhere between those 2 rollers!! Great photo!

  2. Indeed, those hard, worn husbands with stuff growing on them...yep. I admire the work they have done, too. *wink*
Nice photo. I love stuff like this.

  3. Are you saying Left Brain has lichen growing on him? Just checking cuz I didn't think you guys stay in one place long enough for lichen to grow. BUT I heard if you paint on buttermilk you can accentuate the process / get softer skin.

  4. The photo is super, but poor Left Brain. My goodness, to be compared to an old gear! On the other hand, it's the old gears that are still working and functioning just fine. A lot of the newer ones have already petered out before their time. Your photo really is quite interesting, and I love the colors. Just goes to show that some of us old things still look good. Here's a big wink for Left Brain! You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Great shot, Cheryl. I love old anything, but these are exceptional, Queen of grinding gears.
