Ruth Bader Ginsberg

I'm a big fan of this woman and when I saw my friend, Sue Hessel, had the action figured I knew I just had to have one.

Left Brain and I have watched the RBG documentary and loved it.

I finally got to see the movie "On the Basis of Sex" and it was wonderful.

This is the perfect movie to share with your grandchildren, especially granddaughters to show them how the changes were made.

I have vivid memories of not being able to get a credit card in my name in the early 70's.

I also had the experience of signing up for the Work Incentive program while on welfare and having it explained to me that I would have to understand that if a man also applied for the same job as me it would have to be given to him because he has a wife and children to support.  Huh?  He has a wife...why isn't she working?   It was just me and my son.

The Notorious RBG has made so many incredible changes in the lives of women (and men) by compelling the change of gender discrimination.

  1. I am investing in my granddaughter's library and supplying her with books showing women, different races and class to teach her about history and humanity. I'd rather they be there for bedtimes even before she is old enough to read.

  2. I have not read this yet but look forward to it. I agree, the changes for women over the years have made it easier for a lot of us women raising families by ourselves. of course, it would have been nice to have those changes when we needed them. But at least a lot of women have them now. You have a wonderful evening, hugs, Edna B.

  3. We haven't see it yet. We saw Green Book on Friday and both really liked it. I can see why it's up for Oscars.
