I can't resist photographing mushrooms in the woods.
I'm calling these the bubble gum mushrooms because of their pinkish tint.
This little fellow ran across the road to say hi.
There were so many pretty flowers to be seen.
As well as the bees and insects on them.
I've never seen a waist so small as on this black beauty.
Long Live the Queen
You are right, the falls are kind of all over the place with total lack of centering and self control. Sure glad you weren't talking about me in this post.......
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures, so close and vivid. It is so cool here now, these brought back a bit of summer. I love the Ringneck Snake. Great capture! I have to wonder what camera you use. You always take such great photos.

ReplyDeleteEverything looks damp ... the flowers are gorgeous and you don't often see a hornet sucking necter ... hmmm. Not familiar with the snake ... was that a close brush with death or just a little friendly fella passing by ... hmmm again. You seem to be enjoying your pass through the south and taking advantage of the opportunity so gather beautiful photos. As cataracts is a sore subject with me, I will stick to the water fall version. All fun shots, all very fallish which is what it is here as well ... cold and damp, not the fall I remember in my past, but fall none the less. Glad to see you are having such a great time, Queen of Fungi ... what is your destination this time?

DeleteI'm not sure why I love photographing the wild mushrooms either, but I do. (I don't eat mushrooms, though) I love all these woodsy shots. Hmmm, not sure why that hornet has such a tiny waist either. Looks like you are having tons of fun. This is good. Enjoy your walks in the woods my friend. Hugs, Edna B.
