This is one of the few places I can hang my sheets out on a clothesline to dry - love the fresh pine scent! |
It feels so good to have all those body parts ready for assembly and I should be able to deliver them next week.
The cats even gained a couple of new cat toys since I had the arms and hands from the first doll that was a no go. How many cats can have body parts to play with?
They are complete with belly buttons and butt cracks.
I used an entire box of stuffing and half of a bag, so after the cats got done playing with the box I had a place to store the parts until I can assemble them.
Left Brain was not just goofing off during this busy time, he and Larry installed the new awning parts after they arrived.
The family should be arriving tonight and then we'll be busy setting up their tent and visiting. Our son will join us tomorrow as well, so if you don't hear from me for a few days, it just means we're having too much fun to blog.
Long Live the Queen of Weekend Fun
I love the smell of clean sheets dried outside in the breeze. You've been a busy girl making all those dolls and I can hear the Tim Allen male grunting 1,000 miles away. Have a wonderful weekend with family :-)
ReplyDeleteenjoy your family weekend! the box of parts is pretty cool. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the doll. That is amazing. I hope that we get to see a finished one. You are so very incredibly talented!
ReplyDeleteI am wishing you a great weekend filled with fun and laughter, lots of laughter! Enjoy your loved ones. I look forward to stories and pictures when you have time to blog. Hugs, my friend.
Your sheets on the line bring back lots of memories of when I used to always hang my wash out on the lines to dry. Oh my, they smelled so good when you folded them. Your new awning is looking good, and that box of dolly parts is awesome! Do show us photos of the finished dolls. Enjoy your time with your family. Have a fabulous weekend, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteBody parts ... sounds like a serial killer (yes, I watch too much TV). And you are feeding body parts to your cats? Out of context that sounds pretty gruesome ... is there a side of you we don't know about? All kidding aside, I am really looking forward to the finished product. I don't know how you do it ... I don't think I would have the patience, let alone the talent. Left Brain looks like he has a talent too ... he was able to get Larry to get up on the roof ... good for him:)
ReplyDeleteFamily weekends are wonderful and I know how much this means to you. It will be beautiful, loving and fun ... soak it all it, my Queen. Then when you have a chance to catch your breath, we will all be waiting to hear all about it. I know that being on the road most of the year is a wonderful thing ... but having family to come home to ... you can't beat it. Have a wonderful weekend, Queen of Body Parts ... and we will be waiting to hear from you :)
